(yes, I drew the portrait in the middle! :) I used water paint, very fun and easy to work with!)
This weekend I finally got a chance to see the film Her and I’m so so SO glad I’ve finally seen it! I was seriously blown away by how beautiful it was. YOU HAVE TO SEE IT, TRUST ME. It’s a story about Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix) and how he falls in love with an Operation System (voiced by Scarlett Johansson). That sounds totally crazy, but during the film you find yourself constantly wondering about the limits of love and how crazy it actually is. What’s so wrong about being happy in love with an Operation System, albeit with a “fake” person? How real is the love? And does it really matter?
This film is also HEAVEN for people who can obsess about and appreciate pretty film shots in general. The modern ’70 style is so well done and THE COLOURS AND THE WARDROBE AND THE DECORS ♥. NO WORDS. I want it all. Yep, I’m definitely going to re-watch it soon.
You should too! Here is the trailer:
Lorde’s number one hit Royals was super catchy (if you’ve never heard it before, you’ve probably been living in a cave for the past year or so, YOU CAN’T ESCAPE IT), but the danger of being just a one hit wonder is always lurking in the corner for these kind of artists. Not for Lorde though, oooooh noooo, she’s too cool to be a one hit wonder. I don’t know if her other songs are as catchy enough like Royals for them to become such a big hit, but I do recommend you get a good listen to her album “Pure Heroine”. Great to listen to while you’re studying or even when you’re prepping to go out dancing. Speaking of: she really can’t dance. We both can’t dance! Which is an awesome thing to have in common. I think.
Here is one of her songs: Team.
If you want to hear the whole album, here is a link to the one that’s up on youtube.
Happy sunday everybody xx
As you could have guessed by reading the title, I eat these delicious pancakes way too often. The pancakes make not only for a delicious breakfast, but also for a great lunch and dinner. That’s probably one of the main reasons why these are so dangerous! The recipe I use is adapted by one of the recipes from Jamie Oliver, one of my favorite chefs (I’m sorry Jamie, but Nigella stole my heart when she started posting her daily meals on facebook) and if you follow it to the letter, nothing can go wrong. My favorite toppings are strawberries with clotted cream & sugar, yum!
An extra sidenote: don’t use butter to prevent the pancakes from sticking to your fryingpan if you want the “real american pancake look”. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you try it out ;)
